Chrysalis Gets Organizing Make-Over by NAPO-LA

Chrysalis and NAPO-LA work together to organize the clothing that Chrysalis provides to its homeless clients.

Los Angeles, CA, June 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The National Association of Professional Organizers, Los Angeles (NAPO-LA) is donating over $10,000 of its services to organize and improve the resource room at Chrysalis’ distribution center on Los Angeles’ Skid Row. Over a dozen members of NAPO-LA will volunteer their expertise on Friday, June 17 to organize the clothing Chrysalis provides to its homeless clients to help them become job-ready. The organizing event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and finish by 3:00 p.m. pm at Chrysalis, 516 S. Main Street in downtown Los Angeles.

NAPO-LA volunteers will sort clothing based on gender, type and size and develop a clothing donation process with Chrysalis to make it easier for staff members to prepare their clients for the workforce. “NAPO-LA is determined to reach out and support the Los Angeles community this year. As a successful non-profit ourselves, we are in a great position to serve our community by helping other busy non-profits get organized. We’ll be sharing our expertise and teaching skills to the Chrysalis staff to help them maximize their productivity.” said NAPO-LA President Donna Rosman. “Getting organized is so much more than clearing clutter. It is about incorporating processes and finding solutions that help individuals and businesses grow and become more productive.”

Getting organized is one of the top resolutions people make every year. With over 100 NAPO-LA members available to work with clients in the Los Angeles area, it is easier than most people think. For businesses, over 80% of information is filed away and never used again. Professional organizers help clients develop efficient ways to make a business or home operate smoothly.
