F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems Receives Award for Outstanding Safety Record

The Three Rivers Manufacturers’ Association Recognizes F.E. Moran's Record of Zero Injuries

Northbrook, IL, July 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems is a recipient of the Three Rivers Manufacturers’ Association’s (TRMA) safety recognition award for zero injuries recorded during their work at an AkzoNobel chemical plant in 2010. The TRMA is an organization that serves local manufacturers in the greater Chicago area, providing training and safety programs to help protect plants and their staff.

AkzoNobel is a Global Fortune 500 company and an industry leader in producing specialty chemicals with operations in more than 80 countries. Their Morris, IL plant, which is located 60 miles southwest of Chicago, is a fatty acid nitrogen derivative plant that manufactures specialty surfactants. F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems has been providing fire protection solutions for the plant for several years, from new installations to servicing existing systems, and has been contracted to provide continuing service in the years to come.

In 2010, F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems’ work included the addition of sprinklers to a conveyor as well as the evaluation and testing the functionality of the existing fire protection systems within the plant. While performing their work, F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems meticulously followed the safety regulations put in place by TRMA, while also adhering to their own rigorous safety program. Jason Galoozis, F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems’ Safety Director, says: “It is a top priority for F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems to consistently perform our work efficiently and accurately while maintaining our goal of zero recorded injuries. Our safety record at the AkzoNobel plant is a prime example of the safety standards we strive to uphold with every project we undertake.”
