Sonitrol Pacific Security Audio of Bang, Crash = Arrest

Lakewood, WA, July 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A Sonitrol Pacific audio-based security system detected a “bang and crash” at a Tacoma area medical facility and responding police arrested one suspect June 25.

Monitoring operator Jessica Culver received the impact-activated alarm from Quantum Medical just before 4 a.m. and heard banging and crashing noises she suspected was glass breaking. She immediately called Lakewood Police. Culver continued to monitor live audio at the clinic and heard “crunching and possible footsteps” before everything got quiet.

Police located a broken window at the facility and talked to a cab driver parked outside. The cab driver gave officers a complete description of the suspect and they arrested him soon after.

Although a window was broken, the suspect never entered the building and nothing was stolen.
