Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and Wake Education Partnership Recognized by Videographer Awards

International Video Competition Recognizes Video Outlining the Four Guiding Pillars of Sound Education

Raleigh, NC, July 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce (http://www.raleighchamber.org/) and Wake Education Partnership have announced their recent recognition by the 2011 Videographer Awards for the “Four Guiding Pillars” video for Wake School Choice, an education plan providing families with more choice and stable assignments. The video, produced by MMI Public Relations, is centralized around the guiding pillars of stability, choice, proximity and student achievement with a focus on improving academic success of all Wake County students. Wake County Superintendent Tony Tata incorporated elements of the controlled-choice model described by the video as part of his recommendations for the long-term student assignment plan he is scheduled to present to the Wake County Board of Education in the fall of 2011.

Quotes:
“We are honored to have the video recognized by the Videographer Awards,” said Harvey Schmitt, president and CEO of The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. “We needed a way to convey that education is a critical component of Wake County’s overall development and success.
