ICT Industry Chooses Best of the Best: Frost & Sullivan Announces the 2011 European ICT Awards Programme

Winners to be named at prestigious Banquet taking place in London on 29 September 2011.

London, United Kingdom, August 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Frost & Sullivan has re-launched its ICT Europe Awards, the Best Practices Programme. This year, a panel of distinguished senior executives from leading companies have supported the Programme by working with Frost & Sullivan’s top analysts to review and select award winners. The Programme honours companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence, rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance across the region.

Daniel Shepherd, Vice President, Frost & Sullivan ICT Europe, states: “We have always valued the diligence of our analysts and the robustness of the Best Practices process. Nevertheless, by involving executives from the industry, we raise the bar even further and ensure that the overall mechanics of deciding on award recipients benefits both our own team’s and our client’s perspectives. This is more than theory; we ran the nominations workshops in late May and I am delighted with the level of involvement of the judges and the outcomes. I am certain that the whole program will contribute to fostering competition and innovation within the industry.”

The measurement parameters – including revenue growth, market share gains, demonstrated leadership, and business/market strategy – are applied to the nominated company. Every judging panel member decides on the importance of each criterion through a transparent and discussion-based process.

Frost & Sullivan’s ICT analysts assessed the market performance of companies across 27 distinct awards in the following categories: Best of the Best; Enterprise Vendors; Service Providers; and Telecom Vendors. The analytical process involved benchmarking multiple criteria across three to five nominees for each award.

“Frost & Sullivan Awards will be presented to companies that implement best practices in their industry, and exhibit the diligence, commitment, and innovative business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace,” adds Daniel Shepherd.

The selection exercise during nomination workshops has been greatly valued by the judges. Mike Short, Vice President of Telefonica Europe, and one of the judges, summarized it: “Strong independent evaluation. Great discussion with experts. Valued judgement, based on consensus views – keep it up! Great shortlist and even better winners.”

Gisel Rotenberg, Vice President - Europe for Amdocs adds: “It was one of the most interesting discussions on industry developments I have participated in for a long time. The Frost & Sullivan analysts demonstrated deep understanding of the market. That experience is priceless.”

Frost & Sullivan will host its prestigious Awards Banquet, where all winners will be introduced, on Thursday, 29 September 2011.
