Bethesda, MD, August 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Seth Kahan led a 90-minute training session, “Seth Kahan on Consulting: Targeting Your Client Group, How to Define the Ideal Group for Your Services” on Friday, July 22 at Chef Tony’s Restaurant in Bethesda, MD. There were more than 10 independent consultants and entrepreneurs in attendance.

His client list includes executives in companies that include the World Bank, Peace Corps, Prudential Retirement and more than 40 associations and public sector agencies.

Kahan shared his experience on how to successfully identify the ideal target group to generate value and attract engagements. Session topics covered strategies for targeting clients including discussion on: 1) choosing a target group as a gateway to a broader customer base; 2) how to establish and build rapport with your target audience to better sell your services; and 3) how to balance your niche with a broad range of impact. A reference sheet was provided to all attendees to take back to the office and put to immediate use.

Kahan says, “Every client interaction is an opportunity to build value. Don’t be afraid to deliver the goods. Don’t hold back. Practice creating magic, rehearse short interactions. Make a game of it. Get that gleam in your eyes and take on their benefit. Once you know your target group, you will generate undeniable value to attract engagements."
