)-- Compliance Implementation Services (CIS), a leading life sciences compliance consulting firm, today announced that Kim Life, Esq., is CIS’ new Vice President of Commercial Compliance.
Before joining CIS, Ms. Life was the Founder and Executive Director of Life Compliance Solutions, a healthcare consulting firm that dedicated its practice to helping life sciences clients find solutions to compliance challenges, including Aggregate Spend.
“Kim’s legal, business, and technical acumen, as well as her industry relationships, provide CIS the ideal leadership and vision for our commercial consulting practice,” said Toni Barsh, Co-Founder of CIS. “She will bring valuable insight to CIS’ Corporate and Commercial Compliance areas, including Sales and Marketing and Legal. In addition to her role as Vice President, Ms. Life will lead CIS’ Compliance and Reporting service, CR Partner™, a complete compliance and reporting solution powered by business partner Alanda Software’s Consummate™ AgS. Ms. Life will continue to co-host the popular IDEAS Forum with Alanda’s president, Dean Rossi. She will also lead the CIS Commercial Compliance team, which provides fully-integrated operational services and compliance expertise to provide accurate and compliant spend transparency reports and compliance declarations.

Ms. Life is an industry thought leader with respect to state and federal transparency and compliance declarations. She is a leading speaker at events, conferences, and seminars regarding viable legal interpretation of relevant state and federal laws surrounding transparency and disclosure. In addition, working closely with CIS’ technology experts, she will help clients work through the challenging implementation of Aggregate Spend solutions that meet not only the legal requirements of such endeavors, but also the intricate technical requirements.
Ms. Life’s previous experience as in-house Commercial Compliance counsel gives her counsel a practical component. “When the success of your company is at stake, ‘it depends’ is not an option,” said Ms. Life. “It is essential that we provide CIS clients with workable solutions and answers, not just academic exercises. The inhouse experience that our consultants bring to clients is invaluable—we get the way our clients do business.”
Ms. Life received her law degree from Duke University, and is admitted to practice in Washington, DC and California.
