GreenWood, Inc. Hires Scammon for Operations Leadership Role

Industry Expert Brings Over 26 Years Experience to Company

Greenville, SC, September 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- GreenWood, Inc., an integrated operations, maintenance and construction solutions provider, has hired Chip Scammon as Operations Director. Chip will have a dual role with GreenWood serving in an operations and business development position. Initially, he will assume responsibility for operations in the Augusta, Georgia area developing operational standards and managing customer service levels. Ultimately, Chip will shift his operational leadership duties to focus on maximizing GreenWood’s service value to existing projects while also identifying new project opportunities for facilities, maintenance, construction, and production support services within the Southeastern region and throughout the United States.

Chip brings 26 years of experience across a range of leadership responsibility involving project management, strategic business consulting, and program development for Fortune 500 companies. His professional background includes operational and facility management roles while at Fluor Corporation and Augusta National Golf Club. As a manager of projects, Chip worked on multiple projects throughout the eastern U.S. including Robert Bosch, Foamex, Dade County (Miami) Florida, IBM, Fieldcrest Cannon, and Birmingham Southern College.

A University of South Carolina Executive Business Program graduate, Chip has also completed a number of career development programs including the Looking Glass Experience at the Center for Creative Leadership; Leadership Breakthrough at Rapport Leadership International as well as many courses on leadership training, project management, organizational management and client development. Additionally, Chip is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and holds multi-state general contractor licenses.
