Manufacturing Confidence Up, Despite Conservative Supply Chain Management & Employment Outlook, Per Survey Results Shared by To-Increase

New blog post shares results from annual Prime Advantage Group Outlook (GO) Survey.

Norwell, MA, September 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- To-Increase, a provider of Microsoft Dynamics solutions for Industrial Equipment Manufacturers (IEM), shares survey results from the annual Prime Advantage Group Outlook (GO) survey in a new blog post. Per the results of this survey, more than 87% of manufacturing companies see revenue forecasts as the same or better through the balance of the year, despite predicting increased layoffs and plans for supply chain management cost containment.

Manufacturing companies currently exist in an interesting environment, one marked by both consumer demand and still uncertain economic conditions. Because of this, many manufacturers are reluctant to spend on more human capital or supply chain management improvements, despite feeling pent-up consumer demand for new products.

"The solution for existing in our current manufacturing environment lives within lean manufacturing principles," states Luciano Cunha, Global Industry Director, To-Increase. "And while this may not be an answer that everyone appreciates, it is an answer that is all but defining our current manufacturing environment as we move into late 2011 and beyond."

Within his new blog post, Cunha provides several solutions for manufacturing companies striving to manage both increased demand and lean guidelines. Solutions Cunha offers includes:

· Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) integrated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), which can help reduce the risk of costly and time consuming mistakes
· Cloud ERP, which can support industry specific solution sets and support the real-time communication and visibility that can elevate project efficiency
· Modern plant maintenance solutions, which can provide everything from global insight into maintenance schedules to the flexibility to automate real time changes to work orders

"An increase in manufacturing confidence is an extraordinarily positive indicator," concludes Cunha. "But this recovery must be planned for and taken with a budgetary grain of salt. Fortunately, solutions are available to ensure this recovery is all the sweeter."
