NAPO-LA Announces Date Change for 2012 Organizing Awards

The Organizing Awards have been moved from the usual January to October 2012.

Los Angeles, CA, October 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The 2012 Los Angeles Organizing Awards will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012. Fall is a new season for the Organizing Awards; previously, they were held in January. This will be the seventh annual awards event held to honor outstanding achievements and contributions to the organization and productivity profession, and to recognize professional organizers, organizing retailers, organizing products services and resources, charities, technology providers, authors and the media.

This year’s Organizing Awards were held at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California, on January 29, 2011. OfficeMax was the presenting sponsor and 200 organizers and friends of the organizing industry gathered to present 24 awards. The celebrity host was Lisa Ann Walter (Dance Your Ass Off) and industry luminaries such as Dorothy Breininger and Peter Walsh were in attendance.

The recipients of the Organizing Awards are determined by a public vote. Voting is open to NAPO-LA chapter members, national NAPO members and the general public. The Organizing Awards is a fundraising and public awareness event. It is produced and presented by the National Association of Professional Organizers Los Angeles Chapter (NAPO-LA), a not-for-profit organization meeting IRS Tax Code 501(c)(3) requirements.
