)-- Sally Webb, CSEP, CEO of The Special Event Company (http://www.specialeventco.com/), a strategic event and meeting management company, has announced that the company received two ESPRIT awards from the International Special Event Society (ISES) for the production of the Duke Children’s Health Center 10th Anniversary Donor Dinner and the Mint Museum Charlotte wine pairing dinner. The 2011 ISES Eventworld conference, which was held in St. Louis, Mo. honored The Special Event Company with the two awards. A program designed to showcase exceptional talents, the ISES ESPRIT International Award program sheds light on the efforts, performance, creativity and outstanding contributions of members across the special events industry.
The Wine Pairing dinner at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, N.C. was awarded Best ISES Team Effort with a budget under $75,000. The Duke Children’s Health Center 10th Anniversary Donor Dinner won Best Event for a Non-Profit with a budget between $75,000 and $200,000. Accommodating nearly 300 guests across three levels of the children’s hospital, the event included performances by Broadway composer David Friedman and was hosted by ESPN’s Jay Bilas.
“To be nominated for these event productions was an exciting moment for the entire team at The Special Event Company, but to have our final product’s recognized as award-winning works was truly an honor and testament to the vision and execution from all involved,” said Webb. “These events were some of our proudest moments, as we truly value opportunities where we can lend a hand to a community constantly giving back and finding ways to better educate its citizens.”
