Carney Wins Silver Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Award

US Air Force 1st AF, Chenega Technology Services Corporation, and Carney Inc. Win Silver Excellence in Learning Award. Carney brings home third consecutive Brandon-Hall Award in recognition of delivering learning excellence to clients.

Alexandria, VA, October 20, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Carney, Inc., partner Chenega Technology Services Corporation, and the U.S. Air Force 1st AF received a 2005 Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Award for “Custom Content, Special Strength: Use of Media” for their Air Defense Sector Training. The “Weapons Brevity Words” lesson is part of a curriculum of online courseware being created for several duty positions within the Air National Guard.

“Winning this award validates the effectiveness of Carney’s instruction and use of media in preparing our armed forces for ever-increasing readiness requirements.” said John Carney, President of the Alexandria-based knowledge management firm.

In this course, learners hear authentic voice transmissions in conjunction with animations of key situations underlying the use of brevity words. The course provides hands-on, anywhere, anytime training and practice. “We are delighted to be working with our partner Chenega Technology Services Corporation to capture important air defense concepts and make them available 24/7, anywhere in the world, for training new airmen.” says Leonard Brisbon, Carney Air Force Program Manager. “Involving all three Air Defense Sectors in a seamless collaborative effort has resulted in a standard and uniformly accepted curriculum.”

This is the third consecutive year Carney has received a Brandon Hall Award. In 2003 Carney and Chenega Technology Services Corporation (CTSC) received the award for the custom Theater Air Control System (TACS) Orientation work, produced for the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC). In 2004 Carney and the U.S. Army Operations Security Evaluation Group received the award for the Land Navigation course.

The Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards are presented by Brandon Hall Research, one of the leading research and consulting firms in training and development. Now in its eleventh year, the Awards program showcases exceptional work in innovative learning.
