Tiare Lani Coffee, Inc. Honored with Second Consecutive Talk of the Town Award

Hawaii-based coffee company earns high marks for customer satisfaction leading to its second Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award.

Holualoa, HI, December 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With a 5-star rating for excelling in customer satisfaction in both 2010 and 2011, Tiare Lani Coffee, Inc. has once again won the prestigious CMUS Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in the Coffee & Tea category.

The Talk of the Town Awards, presented by Talk of the Town News, Customer Care News magazine and Celebration Media U.S. (CMUS), honor companies and professionals that provide excellent customer service as reported by their customers through no-cost, user-review websites, blogs, social networks, business rating services, and other honors and accolades. This data is analyzed by a team of researchers and converted into a star rating; only those that receive a 4-star to 5-star rating receive the Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award.

Tiare Lani Coffee was established in January 1996 by George Kaimana Yasuda, the current president and CEO of the company. Yasuda was raised on a coffee farm and has put his years of experience to work creating and selling some of the finest Kona coffee on the market.

“What sets us apart from the rest are three generations of hands-on experience, research on better growing techniques and not compromising on high quality standards,” says Yasuda.

Along with providing a high-quality product, Tiare Lani Coffee places an emphasis on customer service. “Excellent customer service is vital for my business,” says Yasuda. “It perpetuates the Hawaiian way of ‘Aloha.’ It is emphasized every step of the way until the final product reaches customers’ hands. Consistent care in quality was and is foremost.”

Tiare Lani Coffee’s centerpiece is an 8-acre showcase orchard with trademark native Hawaiian Rainforest trees left untouched by bulldozers. In addition to creating his own company, Yasuda has designed and developed numerous coffee farms and serves as a top agricultural consultant in the region. His first love is plants. A former University of Hawaii coffee researcher, Yasuda is dedicated to maintaining the beauty of the earth; growing healthy, best-variety coffee orchards; and processing an altogether great Kona taste. He co-authored a scientific coffee publication that was available in both English and Spanish, and also served as the photographer for that publication.

Yasuda attributes his appreciation for the value of the land and life to growing up on a coffee farm on an island. “I feel blessed living on the Big Island with its many natural wonders, especially in the deep blue oceans with all of its amazing sea animals,” he says. “My parents taught me as a young boy how to nourish the plants to help them grow into productive trees. In return, the beans provide us with that flavorful morning cup of coffee that gets our day started.”

His appreciation for life is additionally portrayed beyond and outside of the plant realm, by his involvement as both an active Certified Ocean Life Guard and a Certified Life Guard Instructor. He has instructed three of his current employees at Tiare Lani Coffee so they are now trained life guards certified in CPR, first aid, ocean rescue and the use of automated external defibrillators (AED). “That way,” Yasuda says, “Working alongside me as a team or independently, coupled with the specialized biology background, they now can better help or save human, animal and plant lives on land, air or sea.”

Yasuda’s philosophies pervade the culture of his company. “Much of the company’s proceeds go to charity; to help those in need; to preservation of the earth; and to inspire hope, betterment of life and excellence,” says Yasuda.
