Bernard Gallagher has been promoted to partner status.
Philadelphia, PA, February 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- IS Partners, LLC is pleased to announce that Bernard Gallagher, CISSP, MBA, has been promoted to Partner, effective February 10, 2012. As Partner, Bernard will oversee the SSAE 16 practice, and ensure that IS Partners, LLC continues to maintain its superior client service and overall audit quality. During his 18-year career, Bernard has successfully conducted a variety of Information Technology (IT) audits, assurance and business advisory services, including general controls reviews for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Model Audit Rule (AFRMR), and SAS 70 / SSAE 16 engagements, as well as IT security assessments and IT operation reviews. He has experience in the insurance, pharmaceutical, healthcare, banking, and financial services sectors. Additionally, Bernard possesses solid competencies in IT general and application controls, regulatory compliance, disaster recovery and planning, project and risk management auditing, and has generated significant cost savings for clients engaged in internal control evaluation. He has held management positions in both public accounting and private industry and has expertise working with complex networks and systems, databases, and various business applications.

Prior to joining IS Partners, Bernard was employed with KPMG and PWC as an Information Technology Advisory Services Senior, where he worked on internal and external audit engagements in accordance with SOX requirements, SAS 70 reviews, and system-based application control reviews. In addition to these reviews, Bernard was part of a security team at KPMG where he participated in vulnerability assessments and penetration studies. Bernard holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia and an MBA with concentration in IT Management from the University of Phoenix in Arizona. He has also completed a security certification from Villanova University in Philadelphia, and is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
