Fort Myers Attorney Erin Houck-Toll Appointed to Special Equestrians Board

The nonprofit organization helps children and adults with disabilities by providing a structured therapeutic horseback riding program and equine-assisted activities. The mission of Special Equestrians is to improve the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals with disabilities through the equine experience whom are referred by doctors, therapists and teachers. Houck-Toll is Florida Bar Board Certified in Tax Law and concentrates her practice in the areas of federal and state taxation, including representing taxpayers before the IRS and Florida Department of Revenue. She also assists clients in many aspects of business planning, health care law matters, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property issues.

Houck-Toll serves on the Executive Council for the Tax Section of The Florida Bar, on the Board of the Empowerment of Alliance of Southwest Florida and on the Board of Trustees for the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium. She also serves on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber Women in Business Committee and is Chair of the Chamber’s 2012 Leadership class. Houck-Toll received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, her law degree from Tulane University and her Masters (Taxation) from the University of Florida.
