Stewart Engineering Names Jacob Ullum, EI Geotechnical Engineering Intern

Raleigh-Based Engineering Firm Expands Geotechnical Engineering Department

Raleigh, NC, March 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Robert Macia, PE, LEED AP, president of Stewart Engineering (http://www.stewart-eng.com), has announced that Jacob Ullum, EI has joined the firm as a geotechnical engineering intern. In this position, Ullum will oversee subsurface investigations and prepare technical recommendations for site development and design. He will also provide geotechnical field support to Stewart’s CMT and CEI groups. Stewart Engineering has provided geotechnical engineering services in a wide range of market sectors, including municipal, education (K-12 and university), commercial, industrial, residential, health care and transportation. Standard geotechnical laboratory testing is provided at the firm’s construction material testing laboratory, which was recently relocated and expanded.

Prior to joining Stewart Engineering, Ullum interned at Hayward Baker on a project at Progress Energy’s Nuclear Plant in Southport, N.C. A native of Bowling Green, Ohio, Ullum received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from N.C. State University. He resides in Raleigh.
