)-- Ron Litke, Sr. Development Engineer at Orchid Design, will speak at the "Design and Development of a Medical Device: From Concept to Production" session on Wednesday April 25, 2012 during the BioMed Device conference in Boston, MA.
During the session, Litke will discuss the benefits of Risk Management and how one can turn a task some view as arduous into an important step in creating improved designs and better devices.
The presentation will highlight how properly integrating Risk Management into the development process can drive device designs from concept selection through product verification. Additionally, how beginning the process early can eliminate costly surprises late in the game that can delay product launches, while keeping tasks more manageable.
“Maintaining a focus on eliminating risks throughout the development process can ultimately lead to creating devices that are simpler and more intuitive to use,” said Litke.
Litke’s presentation will focus on tips to help product development engineers and designers use Risk Management more efficiently to gain valuable insights essential to creating great devices, without it becoming a distraction.
