Littleton, CO, November 10, 2005 --(PR.com
)-- A new, independent web site devoted to HD Radio technology has been announced by Axcess Sales. The site, www.hd-radio-home.com can be unbiased because it is not affiliated with any radio stations, industry group or radio manufacturer. It includes a description of the technology behind HD Radio, information on its features and benefits, a list of stations already broadcasting in HD, information on the various types of HD radios available a section devoted to HD Radio news and more.
HD Radio is a new technology that enables AM and FM radio stations to broadcast their programs digitally, a tremendous technological leap from today's familiar analog broadcasts. These digital broadcasts provide listeners with radically improved audio quality, more radio channels through multicasting, and new data services.
In announcing the new web site, web master Douglas Hanna said: “This site represents an objective look at HD Radio. Our goal is to promote the concept of HD Radio from the user's point of view and not that of any manufacturer or industry group. We try to present unbiased information about HD Radio that can help our visitors better understand what HD Radio is and why they should consider adding it to their entertainment mix.”
In addition to an explanation of HD Radio technology, HD-Radio-Home.com also has information on HD tabletop radios, HD capable receivers, HD car radios, links to places where HD radios can be purchased, and a list of radio stations by major market that are already broadcasting HD Radio.
“There are already more than 500 U.S. Radio stations broadcasting HD radio with more adding HD technology every week,” Hanna pointed out. “I think this shows without question that this technology has a very bright future.”
One of this web site's most important features is a section devoted to HD Radio news. “There is almost something new to report about HD Radio every week,” Hanna said. “For example, week before last, a company named DICE Electronics announced a new after-market unit that adds great-sounding HD radio to any existing car audio system – making HD radio more affordable. And not long before that, it was announced that four new China-based manufacturers will soon be offering low-cost HD radios. We think www.hd-radio-home.com may be the only independent site where you can find all the news related to HD radio in one, easy-to-access place.”
