Energy & Environmental Building Alliance Approves Bayer's Jim Lambach for Board of Directors

Houston, TX, April 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Knowledge is power. The Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA) uses knowledge to increase the stock of sustainable homes. EEBA provides extensive resources and training to encourage residential building science best practices among builders. EEBA recently accepted the nomination for Jim Lambach, Bayer MaterialScience LLC Spray Foam Technology Head, to serve on the EEBA Board of Directors beginning March 2012.

Jim brings to the EEBA Board of Directors his knowledge of spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation and how builders can maximize its effectiveness in the building assembly to create a high performing home. Bayer is also a sponsor of EEBA’s Houses That Work™ program. Houses That Work™ is a national training series for builders focused on residential building science to improve the performance, efficiency, durability and air quality of the completed home. Bayer has long advocated for whole-house building science as the major factor to achieve improved energy efficiency and overall performance. Jim’s EEBA Board of Directors appointment will allow Bayer to bring this message directly to builders.

For example, if a home has insulation like SPF that minimizes air 'leaking' out or in, the builder can then specify a smaller HVAC system and operate it at peak efficiency. All the parts should complement each other to achieve maximum performance.”
