Las Vegas, NV, May 09, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- Silver State Production Services a full-service motion picture production services company based in Las Vegas founded by Chris Ramirez, announced today that it is open for business.
SSPS was created to satisfy the demand for Nevada-based services with experience and expertise in managing film, television and commercial productions. Those services include location scouting and management; logistics, lodging and coordination; transportation and camera rental; set design and construction; catering, talent and crew staffing.
“Silver State’s main objective is to bridge gaps in the local production community, so that the locals and clients both benefit,” SSPS Head of Production, Mark Balint said, “We have strong relationships with filmmakers, producers and agencies worldwide and we also have a solid database of local crew and locations. It helps that our founders are life long locals.”
In addition to two upcoming reality shoots in May, the company recently landed a feature film with an award-winning producer that will shoot in Northern Nevada this Fall. Several of Silver State’s key crew members were integral parts of last year’s production of The Motel Life, starring Dakota Fanning, in Reno and the surrounding areas, as well.
The company recently wrapped a commercial for Nike at the Ogden, just days before shutting down historic Fremont Street in Las Vegas on May 2, 2012 for its inaugural ‘Hot Set Production Carnival’. Hundreds of guests enjoyed mingling inside of Insert Coins for an open bar and a rustic-gourmet menu from Catering by Bleu. Outside, guests and industry professionals toured four of SSPS’s retrofitted production and wardrobe Airstream trailers, saw the lighting capabilities of JR Lighting, as well as got up close to a Red camera on display from NV Camera and Lens.
SSPS’s partners, operators and crew compile decades of production experience and a successful history of coordinating, supervising and assisting alongside some of the production industry’s most respected producers, cinematographers, directors and agencies. Individual credits include blockbusters such as The Hangover along with the Toronto International Film Festival premiered Think of Me, starring Lauren Ambrose.
