VisionPoint Marketing CEO Diane Kuehn Appointed to the City of Raleigh Arts Commission

Local Online Marketing Agency President to Serve on Official Advisory Body Advocating for Support and Promotion of Raleigh’s Creative Community

Raleigh, NC, May 27, 2012 --( VisionPoint Marketing (, a Raleigh-based online marketing agency that provides strategic consulting, development and execution of online marketing solutions for higher education, has announced that Diane Kuehn, President and CEO, has been appointed by the Raleigh City Council to serve as a member of the City of Raleigh Arts Commission. The first municipal arts commission created in North Carolina when it was established in 1977, the City of Raleigh Arts Commission serves as the official advisory body and advocate for the arts to the City Council with the goal of connecting people to the arts and building a vital and ever-expanding creative community for Capital City residents and visitors.

Kuehn has been active in many civic and professional organizations, including being appointed by Gov. Bev Perdue to the board of directors of the NC Council for Women. She served on the board of directors of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce for four years, including one year on its executive committee, as well as the board of directors and vice chair of the International Affairs Council (IAC), a nonprofit organization that plans itineraries for visiting international dignitaries and professionals.

- A division of the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department, the City of Raleigh Arts Commission’s myriad activities foster, support and promote the arts by focusing on five key areas: Raleigh arts grants, the Raleigh Public Art Program (both temporary and permanent artworks), the Block Gallery Municipal Building art exhibitions and Block2 Street video series, awards programs (including Medal of Arts, Artist of Tomorrow and Piedmont Laureate), and community outreach and arts resources (including workshops, public forums, and web-based and print information).

- Kuehn previously served three years with the advisory board for the Me Fine Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to parents and caregivers sacrificing their livelihoods in order to provide their children with state-of-the-art medical treatment at Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals. Dedicating a part of her personal life to charitable and community activities, she has been active in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and served for several years on the marketing committee for Triangle Family Services (TFS), which provides mental health, safety, and financial support services to families living in the Triangle. In 2007, Kuehn and VisionPoint contributed to the Red Cross Blood Drive that saved 33 lives.
