Dr. Mindi Palmer Fried Joins BNI’s International Board of Advisors

Dr. Mindi Palmer Fried, member of the Mill River BNI Chapter, Western Massachusetts, has recently accepted a seat on BNI’s International Board of Advisors.

Easthampton, MA, May 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- BNI, the world’s largest business networking organization, welcomes Dr. Mindi Palmer Fried as the newest addition to BNI’s International Board of Advisors.

BNI (Business Network Int’l) is an organization which is comprised of over 140,585 members and has over 6,116 chapters in over 50 countries. The mission of the organization is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive, and professional word-of-mouth program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals. BNI’s philosophy builds upon the idea of Givers Gain®, which means that business professionals who give referrals to others will get referrals from others. Last year alone, the organization passed a total number of 5.6 million referrals worldwide totaling a value of $2.3 Billion (USD) in business for its members. BNI was started in California in 1985 by Dr. Ivan Misner.

BNI’s International Board of Advisors exists to address policy issues relating to BNI and it is made up of members from various BNI chapters around the world. The purpose of the International Board of Advisors is to ensure that there is open communication between the membership and BNI Headquarters.

Dr. Mindi Palmer Fried was recommended to serve on BNI’s International Board by the Executive Directors of BNI Western Massachusetts, Mike and Debbie Roberts. This distinction is due to Dr. Palmer Fried’s seven-year history as an enthusiastic member and leader of the Mill River BNI chapter. She has the distinction of being the person responsible for actually starting the chapter and has held many important leadership positions over the years, including President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Education Coordinator and also served on the Membership Committee.

A cum laude graduate of Life University, Dr. Palmer Fried is the owner of Motion Chiropractic Center in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Her practice specializes in prenatal and postnatal chiropractic care for women, infants and children. She also enjoys volunteering her services to charitable causes in her community. BNI Executive Director, Mike Roberts, believes that Dr. Palmer Fried will be a valuable asset to the Board of Advisors and says she is a “model member” of BNI. Dr. Palmer Fried says that she has always appreciated the BNI structure and describes herself as level headed and a “natural mediator.” She added, “I love that members of BNI have been the ones making the rules – that the people who are in the trenches have a say in how the organization is run. I’d love to be one of those people, and I think I’m a good person to do so.”

Dr. Mindi Palmer Fried will now be acting as a liaison between BNI members and BNI Headquarters and will be periodically providing Dr. Ivan Misner, BNI’s Founder & Chairman, with important feedback which will help further the organization and continue to allow its membership to prosper.
