IPA Charities Donates to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry

The Museum of Science and Industry's interactive exhibits and education programs for children benefit from IPA Charities.

Chicago, IL, June 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- IPA Charities, the charitable foundation of International Profit Associates, has recently donated $6,000 in support of the 2007 Columbian Ball: Trains, Planes and Intergalactic Travel.

The 27th Annual Columbian Ball: Trains, Planes and Intergalactic Travel will be held on Saturday, October 6. The Museum of Science and Industry is housed in what once was The Palace of Fine Arts, constructed for the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893. The Columbian Ball was named after this world renowned Exposition and continues the tradition of inspiring the inventive genius in all that attend. Guests will have an opportunity to view our newly renovated Transportation Gallery and then be transported into the future in our featured temporary exhibit – Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination.

According to David R. Mosena, President and CEO of Museum of Science and Industry, “Proceeds from the Ball provide funds for every aspect of the museum’s many interactive exhibits as well as the science education programs for school kids and visitors of all ages from around the world.”

The Museum of Science and Industry’s mission is to inspire the inventive genius in everyone by presenting captivating and compelling experiences that are real and educational. Located at 57th Street and Lake Shore Drive, the Museum is open every day of the year except December 25. Regular Museum hours are 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. General admission pricing is $9 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $5 for children ages 3-11. The Museum is supported in part through the generosity of the people of Chicago through the Chicago Park District.
