About Somnath Bhattacharyya
Somnath Bhattacharyya was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1988 and his M.A. in Quality Management at Webster University. He currently serves with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Civil Engineer in Military Construction. Mr. Bhattacharyya is affiliated with the Program Committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) among others. He has written articles for Metropolis St. Louis about wine club events and events for young Indian professionals sponsored through Metropolis St. Louis. He has been honored by the St. Louis Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers Zone III Daniel W. Mead Award for Young Engineers. His leisure time is spent in reading, writing, physical fitness, travel, and international films.
