Vermont Woods Studios Hires New Employees During Nationwide Job Crisis

Vermont’s biggest online furniture store stimulates job market in southern Vermont by bringing on four new hires while unemployment rates remain at record highs across the nation.

Vernon, VT, July 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- National news wires and sources across the country have recently been reporting of grim economic times including layoffs, increases in unemployment, falling stocks and poor home sales over the past six months but one company continues to grow in spite of these statistics.

This June, Vermont Woods Studios has introduced two new Sales Associates and two new Marketing Assistants to add to their pre-existing team of 6, including owners Peggy and Ken Farabaugh. The new staff members will be helping this growing company accomplish new goals and continue to expand in the world of online fine furniture sales.

Vermont Woods Studios is an online retailer of Vermont-made, eco-friendly furniture that showcases the most skilled craftsman Vermont has to offer. Founded in 2005, part of the mission at Vermont Woods Studios is about offering personal attention to their furniture and customers from their own “Green Team” of staff members.

In addition to current staff members Ken, Peggy, Kendall Farabaugh, Douglas Fletcher, Manjula Vemula and Dennis Shanoff, new employees include:

Heather Barrett, Marketing Assistant, is a native of Southern Vermont and brings an educational background in Mass Communications to Vermont Woods Studios. Heather is a travel enthusiast, visiting places such as Tanzania and Nicaragua to complete service projects. She also enjoys being outdoors and working with social media. After graduating from Champlain College, Heather B has returned to Southern Vermont to work with the Vermont Woods Studios Marketing Team.

Heather Gantt, Sales Associate, comes to Vermont Woods Studios with a strong background in banking and sales and a passion for the simple things in life. Having relocated over 30 times in her youth, Heather G is very prepared for the ever changing atmosphere of her new position. Boasting an adventurous past, Heather G has settled down in Southern Vermont with her husband to be a new face for the Vermont Woods Studios Sales Team.

Loryn Dion, Marketing Assistant, brings experience from working other communications positions to the table at Vermont Woods Studios. Loryn has always had a passion for agriculture and conservation and has been studying in the field since high school, working with groups like the FFA and the USDA. Although her hometown is in Southeastern Massachusetts, Loryn is settling in to Northfield, MA and into her new position with the Vermont Woods Studios Marketing Team.

Elizabeth Francese, Sales Associate, is a graduate of Keene State College and describes herself as an extreme introvert and extrovert. Having participated in a few environmentally-focused service projects as well as a great deal of traveling, Elizabeth brings a wide variety of experiences to Vermont Woods Studios.
