In this role, Hopkins will continue to oversee the company's extensive travel program, including the management of reservations/ticketing for corporate and field employees, the development of travel policies and the management of supplier contracts. She reports to Gerry Geddis, president and COO, DAVACO.
"Managing programs that involve thousands of retail, restaurant and hospitality locations across North America requires a tremendous amount of travel and logistics coordination," said Gerry Geddis. "Because Lani and her team do an excellent job of coordinating and maintaining complex itineraries for our over 1,500 employees, we are able to provide consistent and reliable service for our clients and their programs. We are pleased to recognize Lani's accomplishments with this promotion."
Hopkins joined DAVACO in 2005 as the corporate travel manager and was promoted to director of corporate travel in 2008. During her tenure, Hopkins received DAVACO's Quarterly Superstar Award and the Chairman's Award. She has over 20 years of experience in the travel industry, including previous positions with Wyndham Jade Travel, Rosenbluth International and King's Travel, Inc. Hopkins is a Certified Travel Consultant, Corporate Travel Associate and a Certified Accounting Specialist for ARC (Airline Reporting Corporation). She attended the University of Hawaii.
