Documentary About Dealing with Death and Loss, “…and rosemary is for remembrance,” Turns to Indigogo to Tell Inspiring Story

To be remembered in the minds and hearts of our loved ones. This is our story and our mission is to let all human beings out there who are struggling with grief and loss know that they are not alone.

San Francisco, CA, October 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sound Visions Media announces the launch of their campaign to raise finishing funds for their documentary, …and rosemary is for remembrance. The film is based on an inspirational, true story about a woman, Shirley Downie, who courageously copes with the unexpected loss of her husband and best friend. The challenges of talking about and preparing for death were the motivation for making this film. The filmmakers hope to bring greater awareness to this much avoided and difficult topic. For several years the project has been self-funded by the filmmakers, Jeff Foster and Ellen Johnson, but current economic conditions have slowed down the completion of the project. As a result the two turned to crowd source funding site Indiegogo.com to raise the final $28,000 with a November 17, 2012 deadline. Details about the production, how to donate and the unique rewards being offered can be found at: http://indiegogo.com/rosemaryforremembrance and on Facebook.

According to Foster, “The film started out as a personal remembrance project for Shirley. However, as we got further into making it we realized this was a story they needed to be shared publicly because each of us has to deal with loss and preparing for death at some point in our lives.” Foster is an award-winning videographer and author who literally wrote the book on green screen production with The Green Screen Handbook. He has worked on projects with past clients that include: Tribune Broadcasting, Motorola, Nestlé, FOX Television, Spike TV, Discovery/TLC, Universal Studios, and Disney. Through Sound Visions Media, the filmmakers hope to reach a wider audience with this project by submitting to film festivals across the country and providing it to grief support and hospice organizations. If their goal is realized by the Indidgogo.com deadline they intend to complete the film by the Spring of 2013. For more information about Sound Visions Media go to: http://soundvisonsmedia.com.
