)-- “Many companies are unable to get flood insurance, yet there is an ongoing annual risk of floods in Thailand,” said Andrew Durieux, founder and managing director of Coverage Ltd, who has 15 years of experience in business continuity planning across 4 continents. “Developing and maintaining a plan is therefore critical to all business operations, but understanding how to make a good business continuity plan is a skill that does not exist in most companies today. This one day course can save you years of learning, and may even save your whole business when the next disaster strikes.”
The workshop is suitable for managers from any size company or industry, who are looking to gain knowledge and skills in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP), in order to prepare and manage future disasters. These disasters may include floods, fires, earthquakes, I.T. failures, Pandemics and many others. The course will be of particular benefit to SMEs, who may not be able to afford to develop a complete Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
The workshop will provide participants with an introduction to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk management and how to analyse potential risks to their business. Case studies of successful business continuity projects will be examined to demonstrate what makes a successful Business Continuity Plan. Participants will be given scenario exercises, which will provide them with experience in crisis management to aid them in developing a BCP in their own business.
On completion of the workshop, participants will have the knowledge and skills to begin developing a BCP for their organization, as well as be able to provide BCP training and knowledge to other employees.
The workshop will be run over one full day from 9am-5pm on the 30th of October at Asoke Tower in Bangkok. The sessions will be conducted in English with Thai translation if needed.
