This event will include insightful presentations, valuable workshops, and networking opportunities.

Scott Manning, partner and corporate & shared services practice leader at ScottMadden, Tina Krebs, partner and human resources practice leader at ScottMadden, and Trey Robinson, partner at ScottMadden, will present, “Shared Services 101: The Fundamentals of Designing, Building, and Implementing Shared Services,” for all levels of shared services. This practical workshop will focus on the essential activities to plan, launch, and stabilize a new shared services operation, including critical success factors for your business case, ten top implementation challenges, and three keys to post launch success.

Additionally, Brad DeMent, partner and finance and accounting practice leader at ScottMadden, and Jerred Crosby and Doug Utley, partners at ScottMadden, will present, “Next Generation SSCs: A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating that Next Layer of Value.” This workshop, developed for those who have been on their shared services journey for more than three years, will explore best practices to achieve the next layer of benefits.

Sam Poston, former partner and senior vice president at ScottMadden, will serve as conference chair and moderate the panel, “The Tipping Point,” which will discuss expanding shared services capabilities, key growth drivers, and emerging opportunities that will build a lasting competitive advantage. This 40-minute session will feature Mark Johnson, senior vice president at TransUnion; Jeffrey Jacobson, general manager and vice president of global finance shared services at Pitney Bowes; John Standring, senior vice president of global financial operations at American Express; and Suzanne Leopoldi-Nichols, head of shared services at American Greetings.

Scott Manning and Tina Krebs will also present highlights from their second annual human resources shared services (HRSS) benchmarking study conducted with APQC. This session will cover trends related to HRSS scope and use of self-service and technology, as well as the organization and alignment of centers of expertise. “The data gathered in this survey is a step beyond most shared services surveys out in the market. We believe this data will enable shared services organizations to evaluate how they are staffed at a more detailed level and how they are performing related to their peers. We are very excited to share these latest results,” said Mrs. Krebs.

Lastly, Jon Kerner, partner and information technology practice leader at ScottMadden will present, “Beyond Business Cases: Making Strategic Project Decisions,” during the Global IT Delivery & Outsourcing Summit.
