Eagle Datagistics CEO to Judge Fintech Business Plan Competition

St Petersburg, FL, April 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Fintech Business Plan Competition offers all currently enrolled USF graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to compete for a first-place prize of $15,000 to get their startup company off the ground. Eagle Datagistics CEO, Chuck Egerter, has been selected to judge the competition.

The contest, sponsored by Eagle Datagistics client, Fintech, and hosted by the nationally ranked USF Center for Entrepreneurship, allows students to compete for prize money but also provides an opportunity to present their business vision before a panel of professionals and experienced entrepreneurs.

“As an entrepreneur, the most valuable experiences I have had are when I’ve exposed my plans and dreams to someone who might know more than me,” said Egerter. “All of the team will win in this competition because they will all receive passionate, thoughtful insights from a community of peers who might be a little further down the same road they seek to travel. “

To receive the cash prize money, the winning entry must be organized as a legal entity in the State of Florida (e.g. C Corp, S Corp, LLC, LLP). To compete, at least one member of the ownership group must be a current USF student. Business concepts from all academic disciplines are welcome, and early-stage companies are encouraged to apply.

Initial screening of the entries was conducted by center faculty. Finalists will be judged by a panel of professionals with representatives from the sponsor companies, business owners, business financers, and serial entrepreneurs on Friday, April 5, 2013.

The competition features a 15-minute presentation followed by a Q&A session. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the presentations.

The Fintech Business Plan Competition is hosted by the USF Center for Entrepreneurship of the USF College of Business, in collaboration with the USF College of Engineering, USF Health, and the Patel School of Global Sustainability.
