SWACHA Names Laura Steele Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Dallas, TX, April 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dallas-based SWACHA, one of the largest not-for-profit regional electronic payments associations in the country, announced today that Laura Steele has joined its executive management team as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In this newly created position, Ms. Steele will look to bring new services and partnerships to SWACHA’s more than 1,000 members throughout the Southwest.

Steele (51) is a veteran of the financial services industry with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining SWACHA, she served as vice president of Blue Lynx Media, LLC beginning in 2010, and before that was principal and senior managing consultant at MasterCard Worldwide from 2005 to 2009. Before that she was senior vice president with the Corporate Treasury Product group at JPMorgan Chase from 2002 to 2004, and the global GE account team executive at Dun & Bradstreet from 2000 to 2002. From 1998 to 2000, Steele was vice president of Relationship Management at MasterCard Worldwide, and prior to that was vice president with US Bank Corporate Payment Systems from 1996 through 1998.

Steele received her B.A. in marketing at the College of St. Catherine in Minnesota and her M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
