The Academies Offers Its Certified Job Search Strategist Program

While most news reports and economic indicators point toward a rebounding economy, many Americans still find it difficult to settle into satisfying jobs. This gap gives way for career coaches to help job seekers uncover satisfying employment options in today’s tentative job search market.

Fresno, CA, May 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Career Coach Academy, a division of The Academies, Inc., is offering its 12-week Certified Job Search Strategist Program that teaches career coaches how to help job seekers gain employment in today’s tough job market. The Certified Job Search Strategist training is a sophisticated and systematic program that goes deep into best practices for the post Recession-era job search. The 2013 course begins July 18, 2013.

Over a period of 12 weeks, participants of the program come away with a 5-part framework that will help them coach clients to job search success coupled with Web 2.0 job search strategies. Some of the benefits that participating coaches will come away with include: a thorough understanding of more than 18 job search activities and tactics, and how to combine and use them for different types of job search scenarios; hundreds of job search resources to share with clients, including the latest in online “social search” strategies; “business-in-a-box” forms and tools that can be used immediately with clients; and dozens of ideas for additional services you can offer clients (including third-party alliances/vendor relationships), as well as strategies for packaging, pricing, and presenting your services.

Carrie Luber, a career coach with Syracuse-based Messenger Associates noted “Every week I get solid, practical information [from the course] that I can put in to use. Today, I spoke with a client who was very frustrated with her job search. It was wonderful to be able to walk her through [the Certified Job Search Strategist’s] ‘Seven Steps to a Targeted Search.’ While I have always advised clients on being proactive in their search, these steps make for a process the client/job seeker can easily follow.”

The CJSS program takes place via teleseminar – two hours each week – for a total of 24 class hours. Classes are held Thursdays, beginning July 18, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm ET.
