City of Littleton Honors Norgren for Community Work

IMI Way value “doing the right thing at work and in the community” recognized with model corporate citizen proclamation.

Littleton, CO, June 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Feeding hungry kids and homeless adults, volunteering at local schools, sponsoring a neighborhood Farmers’ Market – for Norgren, being a “model corporate citizen” is more than words on paper. Or in this case, words on a plaque, presented to Norgren Americas President Robert Guerra by Mayor Debbie Brinkman of Littleton, Colorado.

Mayor Brinkman and members of the Littleton City Council paid a surprise visit to Norgren Americas headquarters on March 11, 2013 to present Guerra with a plaque and a proclamation recognizing Norgren for its ongoing community service. The proclamation reads in part, “Whereas, Norgren, Inc. is a significant employer in the Littleton area and has made generous contributions to the community; in appreciation of more than 60 years of doing business in Littleton, I, Debbie Brinkman, Mayor of the City of Littleton, do hereby proclaim Norgren, Inc. a model corporate citizen.”

“Our ongoing community activities, particularly our support of schools near our Littleton campus, are so integral to our normal operations that it came as a complete surprise to receive special recognition from our home town,” said Robert Guerra. “I was proud to accept this honor on behalf of all our employees in Littleton.” Contributing to the community was a core value of founder Carl A. Norgren, and is perpetuated today through the IMI Way, a code of responsible business practices promoted and followed by Norgren’s parent company, IMI PLC.
