Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Recognizes S/ D Engineers

S/ D Engineers Signs “5-Star” Statement of Support for Our Troops.

Harrisburg, PA, December 23, 2005 --(PR.com)-- "I cannot tell you how supportive Dan and all of my fellow coworkers are of my military service,” said Tony Centore, Manager of Electrical and Control Systems at S/ D Engineers, Inc. on Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh. “S/ D Engineers is the model of how all companies should treat our citizen soldiers.”

Mr. Dan Tis, President of S/ D Engineers signed a “5-Star Statement of Support” with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in a ceremony at S/ D Engineering’s renovated facility in the Strip District, which incidentally was George Westinghouse’s original factory in Pittsburgh.

“We are just so glad to have Tony back safe from his tour of duty in Iraq.” said Mr. Tis. This sentiment was emphatically endorsed by Tony’s wife, Jody Centore.

Steve Patarcity, Southwest Pennsylvania Area Chairman of ESGR conducted the “5 Star Statement of Support” signing with Mr. Tis.

“We need more employers who have National Guard and Reserve employees within their ranks to stand up and demonstrate to their families, customers, vendors, competitors, and other employees that management and owners recognize these employees’ sacrifice,” remarked Mr. Patarcity.

Tony Centore’s leadership qualities were demonstrated in his swift acknowledgement of his employer upon his return from Iraq. Mr. Tis and S/ D Engineers were recipients of ESGR’s “Patriot Award” last year in recognition of their support of employee citizen soldiers from Tony’s nomination.

“You need to acknowledge and recognize those who sacrifice for us all,” summarized Mr. Tis. “It is just that important.”

S/D Engineers, Inc., a Pittsburgh corporate based company, (www.sdengineers.com) was formed in January 1998.
