Kingsport, TN, July 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A KOSBE Award Winners Reunion Celebration

The Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) will host its Third Annual KOSBE Award Winners Reunion event, Breakfast of Champions on Tuesday, July 30 from 7:30 – 9 a.m., at Food City – Press Room, 300 Clinchfield Street, downtown, Kingsport.

This event is free and open to the public.

The keynote speaker is Kingsport City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Lyle Ailshie, who will discuss the Tennessee Criteria for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) Award Program and Criteria. He will cover the opportunity for Kingsport small businesses to apply for the TNCPE award, and how the process can reveal key company insights and recognize performance excellence. Dr. Ailshie has served on the TNCPE Board of Examiners since 2002 and on the TNCPE Board of Directors from 2003 – 2010. He is currently on the TNCPE Board of Judges.

In addition to Dr. Ailshie’s presentation, this is an excellent opportunity for networking, and there will be a special recognition for past KOSBE award winners and new sponsors.

“I’m thrilled that Dr. Ailshie has agreed to talk to us about TNCPE. I strongly believe that excellence is as excellence does. I especially want past KOSBE award winners to pursue further excellence. I want them to take their business beyond Kingsport. TNCPE can do that for them,” said Aundrea Wilcox, senior business counselor with the Tennessee Business Development Center at East Tennessee State University Kingsport Affiliate Office and executive director of KOSBE, who is also a TNCPE examiner.

“Most importantly, we want to continue to bring back our very popular reunion event to get our past winners together again and remind the public and business community who our winners are. The impact of these businesses on our local economy should not be underestimated or underappreciated,” continued Wilcox.
