Saskatoon, Canada, July 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Knowing how to speak to any audience is the most important part of a person's presentation skills. The question is: how do you address any audience to help them align with your topic? Norm Rebin of Success Mentors International offers the following advice: “With a little bit of research you can successfully engage any audience.” He offers up these tips as part of his presentation skills training.

Know Your Demographic

Norm Rebin explains that your demographic will dictate everything from the level of vocabulary you will use, what kinds of idioms you should attempt, to the kind of jargon to use. “Look into what makes them tick, and you will be rewarded for taking the time.”

Customize Your Opening

“Your opening is a great time to get your audience aligned with what your main point is,” Norm Rebin offers. “A well-executed opening will get your audience to put on their thinking caps and try to figure out how to solve whatever problem you present them with.”

Tailor Your Examples

In addition to tailoring your opening, your examples should also align with the demographics of your audience. “This includes offering examples that will resonate with the ethnic and gender mix in your audience,” states Norm Rebin. “This will help you to cater to everyone.”
