Fun and Fabulous "Frugal Fashions" for Back to School

Somerset, NJ, July 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Just Between Friends of Somerset/Middlesex is planning their first children’s consignment sales events ever, with tons of fun and fabulous ‘frugal fashions’ for back to school. A Fall season sale will be hosted in Somerset, at the Garden State Exhibit Center, 50 Atrium Drive, on Friday, August 16 (9am-7pm) and Saturday, August 17 (9am-7pm).

During the children’s consignment event, area families come together and bring thousands of new and gently-used ‘fashionable and trendy’ children’s clothing, shoes, baby equipment, books, electronics, room décor, outdoor playground equipment and pretty much anything you need to raise a child in New Jersey. You will find Gymboree, jump-a-roos, Fisher Price, Little Tikes, Leap Frog, Disney, Thomas the Train and Barbie characters all under one big roof.

The focus is on helping moms and dads recycle outgrown and unused items around their homes, providing a wealth of name brand items at significantly reduced prices. But, the real beauty of JBF is that those same parents can then shop for the items their family needs for the next season. This truly is a win-win solution for everyone raising children in Somerset/Middlesex County.

The economic downturn inspired families to stop giving away their children’s items at garage sales and traditional consignment stores because they need every dollar possible to go back into the family budget. Just Between Friends offers consignors (sellers) 60% of their sold items, without the hassle of a garage sale and each consignor sets their own prices because they know the value of each brand name item and what is reasonable for its resale.

Parents, grandparents and anyone who enjoys volunteering can help out at the sale, which earns them a “shop before the public” pre-sale pass. Volunteers have the opportunity to shop with a limited number of other volunteers before the doors are opened to the public. For those who are too busy to volunteer, JBF also has a number of bartering opportunities available.

They inspect all clothing and shoes as they come in, so that moms and dads are shopping only through clothing that is desirable and well-organized. JBF strives to provide a friendly and welcoming environment where local families can come together to mutually benefit one another. Everyone is invited to come and be a part of a unique network of bargain-savvy parents who believe that the best in life doesn’t have to cost full price.

The Somerset/Middlesex JBF sale will benefit, in part, the Somerset County Action Program.
