“The Toledo APICS Experience” - Enhancing Productivity, Innovation, and Competitive Success

Toledo, OH, September 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Toledo APICS is hosting "The APICS Experience" and inviting local professionals to join them at the Toledo Club on October 31 from 8 am until 1 pm. "The APICS Experience" is free of charge and will include breakfast and lunch. The seminar will focus on the activities of the local Toledo APICS Chapter and how these activities serve local businesses by enhancing productivity, innovation, and competitive success. Toledo APICS is the local non-profit chapter of the international association, APICS. APICS, The Association for Operations Management, is the global leader and premier provider of information and services in production, inventory management and related areas to enable members, enterprises, and individuals to add value to their business performance. Since 1957, individuals and companies have relied on APICS for its superior training, internationally recognized certifications, comprehensive resources, and a worldwide network of accomplished industry professionals.

The Toledo Chapter is one of the oldest chapters, being chartered in 1962. It supports the APICS mission by offering low cost educational programs in Toledo and the surrounding vicinity, offering educational programs at Jackson community college Jackson and Adrian campuses, offering professional development meetings throughout the year on relevant business topics, offering plant and facility tours for benchmarking and networking, supporting 3 certification programs, and offering eight $500 college scholarships each year. The chapter boasts over 345 members and is led and governed by volunteer local business professionals from such organizations as: First Solar, Tenneco Inc, BASF, Libbey Inc, NSK Corp, Bostwick-Braun and faculty from University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
