Des Moines, IA, August 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Weidt Group (http://www.twgi.com/), an energy and software consulting firm, has announced that Julia Gauthier, LEED® AP BD+C, has been elected president of the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency (IAEE) board of directors. With 17 years of experience implementing energy conservation and renewable energy programs, Gauthier will assist the IAEE with its mission to provide resources and information on the critical issues of energy efficiency.

As program manager with The Weidt Group, Gauthier is responsible for managing the implementation of the group’s consulting services for key clients in the area of demand-side management programs. Prior to joining The Weidt Group in 2007, Gauthier was a project portfolio manager at Xcel Energy in Minnesota. Her speaking engagements have included the American Institute of Architects Iowa Chapter, the U.S. Green Building Council Iowa Chapter, the Iowa Utilities Board Office of Consumer Advocate, the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency, and the Design-Build Institute of America, Iowa Chapter. Gauthier holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
