Getting Boardrooms on Board: Sustainability from the Director, CFO and Investor Perspective

Denver, CO, September 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- National Association of Corporate Directors Governance Fellow, Janet Jankura is invited to be a plenary session speaker for a panel at the SRI Conference on Sustainable, Responsible, Impact Investing on October 29, 2013 at 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm.

The panel offers an unusual combination of two company Board Members, a Chief Financial Officer, and two leaders in Sustainable and Responsible Investing. Building on these diverse perspectives, the panel will discuss the business case for company leadership in sustainability, Board involvement in engaging investors on these issues, Board Diversity, obstacles to sustainability, and the role CFOs can play in CSR leadership within a company.

Janet Jankura has spent 15+ years as a director of six public and private organizations in strategic planning, risk management and CEO succession. Skilled at aligning corporate initiatives with human capital strategy, she was recruited to serve as Board Director, Compensation Committee Chair and Audit Committee member of Green Earth Technologies. Prior to her career as a professional director, Ms. Jankura had a 15-year executive career. She is the former Chief Human Resource Officer for a unit of Rockwell Automation, a $5B industrial automation and information solutions company in 84 countries. With Chief Executive Officer background, Ms. Jankura drove operational leadership as a United States Marine Corps Officer, responsible for an 11,000-person global command.
