Plain City, OH, October 04, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Silver Threads, Inc., a commercial drapery workshop, recently completed a 12,000 square foot addition to their existing facility in Plain City, Ohio.
“We have purchased more machinery to increase the production output, and hired more employees to accommodate the increase in both production items and shipping demands. We are also instituting new computer programs to increase our efficiency and organization,” said owner Carrie Perini, who founded Silver Threads, Inc. over 30 years ago.
Ms. Perini predicts that the expansion to their headquarters will allow them to increase revenues by 20% in just the first 12 months, and she immediately began adding new personnel to allow her local business to increase production and keep up with the growing demand from her clients for quality custom drapery work that is made in the USA.
Half of the new space will be used to accommodate the surge in requests for the custom fabric sheers, blackout panels, and fitting room curtains they manufacture for retail stores, hotels, and healthcare facilities across America. The remaining 6,000 square feet will be used to increase the production capabilities of their woodshop and upholstery departments which manufacture items like custom ottomans and cornices for clients such as Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, The Limited, and more.
Some of the space will also be designated for warehouse and fulfillment in order to provide the shipping and logistics services that Silver Threads clients rely on the company to provide.
Silver Threads Inc. is a female-owned business headquartered in Plain City, Ohio and has been the state's leading source for custom window treatments, bedding ensembles, pillows, tablecloths, cushions and other fabric products.
Carrie Perini, the owner of Silver Threads Inc., started the business out of her home over 30 years ago, and turned a one-room operation into an accomplished, respected and thriving enterprise.
