LiceDoctors Head Lice Treatment and Nit Removal Service reports attendance at its third webinar by nurses from several school districts across the U.S. The webinar, Secrets of Head Lice Detection and Removal, provided information on several topics related to head lice, which is a cause of school absenteeism.

The seminar was presented to school nurses across the United States and its mission was to provide information to school nurses about many aspects of head lice detection, removal, and prevention.

The webinar covered a variety of issues related to head lice including what do head lice and nits look like, how do you prevent lice, how do you remove lice from the head, lice removal from the home, how do you kill lice, do chemicals including chlorine kill lice, and how are lice transmitted. Nurses were then given the opportunity to ask questions. Most of the questions pertained to how to how to identify nits and how to kill lice.
