BJAC Selected by East Carolina University

Raleigh, NC, September 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Lou Jurkowski, chief executive officer of BJAC, P.A., one of the largest woman-owned architectural design firms in the Southeast, has announced that the firm has been selected by East Carolina University for the design of a new dental school facility. The 112,500-square-foot school will include three service learning clinics – two will be constructed in the east, close to the ECU campus, while the third will likely be developed in western North Carolina. BJAC will be responsible for the design as well as providing assistance in the site selection process. In 2004, BJAC partnered with ECU to design a $14 million renovation of the Flanagan Building.

“We are honored to partner with East Carolina University on the new dental school facilities,” said Jurkowski. “These service learning centers will be creatively designed to provide students with a hands-on learning environment while offering surrounding communities a place to turn for quality dental care.”
