KMG, Inc. Assistant Manager Wins Atlanta's Employee of the Year

KMG, Inc. Assistant Manager Simon Amadi-Emina wins Atlanta Business Chronicle's Annual Employee of the Year for 2013.

Alpharetta, GA, January 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Just before the holidays, KMG, Inc. got the greatest gift of all when their beloved assistant manager Simon Amadi-Emina was named the city’s Employee of the Year by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The Business Chronicle also nominated Office Manager and Human Resources Director Elizabeth Kostilnik for this honor along with numerous others from around the Atlanta metro area. Simon was ultimately chosen as the winner for his stellar dedication, determination, and willingness to go the extra mile for the company’s success.

KMG’s President Scott Corn wrote a touching nomination letter on Simon’s behalf detailing his input in the company’s success since its founding in 2011. He wrote, “Simon is the most effective, caring leader and role model in our company. He can only be described as self-sacrificing to ensure the success of everyone else around him. He always has and will continue to put his family, friends, and coworkers before himself in every situation. He always takes the initiative to find things that need to get done and takes care of it, and he never needs micromanagement. He consistently arrives early to help others learn and provide extra one on one training to anyone in need.”

The Atlanta Business Chronicle article published on December 20, 2013, dives further into Simon’s past, his achievements and plans for the future. Simon’s drive to succeed in the business world is fueled by his desire to open a nonprofit organization He plans to open an orphanage in his home country of Nigeria that will also serve as a school to help the children learn trades while they are waiting to be adopted. Simon hopes that with his help, these children will be able to learn the skills and earn the certifications that they need to gain employment when they become adults.

Simon’s responsibilities at KMG, Inc. include a variety of tasks from training and leading meetings to helping with community fundraising for local organizations such as the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta (DSAA) and larger nonprofits including Operation Smile.
