Geomatics Project Manager Joins McKim & Creed's Austin Office

Austin, TX, February 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- McKim & Creed, Inc., an engineering, geomatics (surveying) and planning firm with offices throughout the South, announces that Rachel Hansen, RPLS, has joined the company’s Austin office as a geomatics project manager.

Hansen has 24 years’ experience in the surveying and mapping profession. She has worked extensively in the oil and gas industry, assisting with the management of a 100-mile pipeline project in Louisiana and overseeing several pipeline assignments in South Texas. She has also managed large transmission line design route surveys, route/substation layouts, boundary analysis and reconstruction assignments, topographic/tree surveys, projects involving city, county and state government entities, and work for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA).

“Rachel has experience with all levels of the surveying process, from research to field work to CAD to project management. Her extensive surveying knowledge and excellent management skills are a valuable asset to our Austin geomatics team,” said Jay Canine, RPLS, regional manager for McKim & Creed.

Hansen graduated from Saint Edward’s University in Austin with a degree in business administration and management.
