)-- Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a health and welfare benefits brokerage and consulting firm that designs, manages and implements employee benefit programs, is hosting an educational seminar on Wednesday, March 26. This free seminar will be held at the Hilton Greenville, located at 207 SW Greenville Blvd. The program is the first of a three-part series led by HCW called Get Smarter, and is intended to help prepare North Carolina employers for the impacts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on their health and welfare benefit plans.
As the first event of the series, this seminar will focus on the new rules employers face as the ACA comes into full swing and will present some of the new technologies that have recently been developed to assist with gathering and reporting data employers need to stay compliant. Tools for tracking employee hours for measurement periods and other required reform related filings will be presented, as well as the reasons employers need to evaluate these tools now.
This free event is accredited by the HR Certification Institute for 1.00 general credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will begin at noon. For more information or to register for the event, visit http://bit.ly/OvHg9T.
“We are extremely excited to launch our Get Smarter series in Greenville,” said Todd Yates, HCW managing partner. “This program is a great way to give local businesses an inside view on how to make strategic decisions when it comes to their health and welfare plans. Employers want to know how healthcare reform is going to affect them, and this series will help them to be better prepared for the requirements of the ACA.”
