A Cypriot native, Ioannis Sazeidis established himself in New York City – a place that crystallized him as a jewel and craft artist. His artistic “initiation” was formed while growing up in Cyprus and traveling around the world, where he discovered the row depiction of nature and realism, drawing and painting, the ancient Greek theatre and the vivid colors of local South American & Cuban artists in Miami. However, it is the roughness and smoothness of New York City life that added to how he is expressing his unique creativity using the fork in all its forms and shapes as a source of inspiration.
“The extremities of the fork,” says the artist, “its soft, smooth curves, rigid fine lines and sharp prongs allow me to explore my creative expressionism. The fork can feed you. It can also stimulate you, defend you, stab you, and kill you. The use of the fork is endless. My goal as an artist is to release the power of the fork.
