The First Tee of the Triangle Names Four New Members to Its Board of Directors

Local Youth Development Organization Welcomes New Board Members to Assist with Continued Growth in Community.

Raleigh, NC, April 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The First Tee of the Triangle, a nonprofit organization dedicated to impacting the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf, has announced that the organization has named four new members to its board of directors. Andy Bilodeau, Patrick Getzen, Nicky Peele and Mark Singleton will all work to ensure that The First Tee of the Triangle is providing participants with the best opportunities and highest degree of life skills instruction possible. The following details the background of each new board member.

- Andy Bilodeau is senior vice president of Wasserman Media Group, a global sports marketing agency headquartered in Los Angeles. He will use his extensive marketing and golf industry experience to help advance the organization’s goals. The Wasserman Foundation is a key supporter of The First Tee of the Triangle and the national First Tee.

- Patrick Getzen is vice president and chief actuary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC), which is the title sponsor of The First Tee of the Triangle’s 10th anniversary gala in September. BCBSNC has consistently supported The First Tee of the Triangle’s mission and focus on helping young people lead healthy, active lifestyles. Getzen's wife is a volunteer with the organization and he also plans to be involved with program delivery.

- Nicky Peele is vice president at ALPHA Marketing of Raleigh. She is a trained volunteer with The First Tee of the Triangle who has personally experienced the curriculum and the impact of the programming on young lives. Peele will assist the organization in growing brand awareness and presence in the community.

- Mark Singleton is a financial executive with Lenovo in Raleigh. Lenovo is already an avid supporter of The First Tee of the Triangle and Singleton’s efforts will continue to strengthen the company’s relationship with the chapter. His financial and business expertise will help manage resources and market programming efforts in our community.
