Novagard Solutions Announces the Introduction of Foam Fix® PVC Foam Products

In conjunction with the Gasketing Fabricators Association’s Gasketing/Converting Exposition in Orlando, Florida, Novagard Solutions has announced today the introduction of a newly redesigned single or double sided adhesive liner to PVC foam products under the product family name of Foam Fix.

Cleveland, OH, April 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Novagard Solutions®, a global supplier of NOVAGARD® and NOVAFLEX® sealants, Foam Seal PVC foam products, Versilube® lubricants, NOVAGARD UV® coatings and compounds and other engineered products, announces the introduction of Foam Fix® a new family of single sided adhesive (Foam Fix I) and double sided adhesive (Foam Fix II) PVC foam products.

Foam Fix is a process that produces single sided adhesive (Foam Fix I) or an optional double-sided adhesive (Foam Fix II) foam products without a subsequent converting operation. Any of Foam Seal’s PVC foams can be cast onto the Foam-Fix® substrate subject to minimum runs and some gauge restrictions.

Foam Fix is a new family of PVC foam products which constitute a layer of PVC foam cast onto a polyester liner which is coated with an aggressive high temperature stable adhesive; furthermore, an additional optional layer of adhesive can be purchased to offer a double sided adhesive PVC foam product (Foam Fix II). Foam Fix is available with many of the Foam Seal line of Automotive and Industrial PVC foam products.

The advantages of Foam Fix over traditional PVC foam products are 1) high temperature stability of the acrylic adhesive, 2) high peel strength of the adhesive, 3) no need to back strip for die cutting resulting in improved product yield (with Foam Fix I) and 4) the polyester liner provides additional dimensional stability when die cutting.

Foam properties, log sizes, slit widths and minimums are dependent on which type of PVC foam is used. Consult the specific foam data sheets or your Foam Seal representative for detailed information on your project.

In addition to low density automotive PVC foam products, Novagard Solutions manufactures low, medium and high density industrial PVC foam products and a line of versatile specialty grade PVC foam products all sold under the Foam Seal brand.

The company’s newly designed website provides a listing of Novagard Solutions’ line of PVC foam products sold under the Foam Seal brand. In addition to the product listing, this new website provides Foam Seal customers with product features, product data sheets, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and other information about these Foam Seal PVC foam products.
