New VP to Head Private Client Division at PFM Trading

PFM Trading appoints Andrew Sterling to the position of vice-president within its private client division.

Shenzhen, China, July 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- PFM Trading, Inc., www.PFMTrading.com, has promoted former senior institutional trader, Andrew Sterling to the position of vice-president of its private client division with immediate effect.

The China-based broker-dealer with designs on a doubling of operational revenue from IPO underwriting within the next 12 months said that it appointed Mr. Sterling because of his deep knowledge and understanding of the initial public offering market.

Edward Gold, vice-president at PFM Trading, said, “We expected the appointment to raise more than a few eyebrows given Andrew’s institutional and corporate investment background but there’s a very compelling rationale behind the decision.”

“Andrew’s management and trading style fits in well with our stated goal to generate far greater revenue from IPO underwriting. Because more of our placements will originate within the fast-growing technology and e-commerce spaces, we needed someone who can impart the sector-specific machinations of IPO launches to private client managers,” Mr. Gold added.

Mr. Sterling, who is due to assume his new role at PFM Trading on Monday morning said, “I’m surprised and delighted in equal measure with this exciting new role and have no doubts whatsoever that we can bring the efficiency and profitability of the corporate and institutional client division to the private client division in short order.”

Mr. Sterling is largely credited with helping PFM Trading surpass the $5 billion under management milestone thanks to his exemplary performance.

Warren Odey, the company’s Chief Executive Officer said, “Andrew is uniquely talented and committed to the growth of our client base and their portfolios.”
